No personal experience with this equipment however read what the manufacturer had to say and looked for other reviews.
Check out: http://www.collettiv...lo/1662238.html, quite old.

However also found articles mentioning the deployment of these as a broadband WLAN in Iraq, kool!!!
Product reminds me of a Belair AP100, good stuff, although the receive sensitivity of the Essentia looked kinda low compared to the Belair.

What is the price of the unit?

Why not CISCO?

While product import within middle east, isn't that big of a challenge. However I would say go for products, whose service / support has some name in the market.

Morning BQorBD, Cisco really doesn’t make a product like the Wifless ESS 24562, that’s why I referenced a Belair AP100. I know it’s hard to believe but Cisco has not penetrated every market, the leader in this sector is Motorola and has recently targeted ALL competitors in this market with the announcement of the AP7181.

Read the screen prints, there are some MAJOR falsifications in there; sorry won’t drink the kool-aid!
1st zero comparison product to product, only manufacturer to manufacturer, are they comparing a Cisco 1131 to a Symbol 4131, the dead give-away is that no credit is given to Cisco for supporting WLAN in Japan!
Like I mentioned in a previous post I read the manufacturer info and the only thing I could compare it to was a Belair AP100, which is a cheaper version of Moto Canopy gear. Sorry the receive sensitivity is not even close to a Belair AP100, and Canopy gear is even better.
Use what you want, but you asked for opinions, and I just can’t see how this gear can compare to a Belair AP100 let alone Canopy gear.

btw Cisco makes nothing like this.
