HP laserjet 1020 in office, which connect to one of computer via USB cable. Then make it sharing.
There are five computers(all Win XP) in the office included the computer which connect to the printer.
Can printer from local PC. status = ready

Problem.
No print out if print from others remote PC, even show status ready, document status printing.
But nothing happen.
Have torestart Local PC or restart print spooler service, then printer will print out suddenly after logon PC.

bluefin,

I will download the driver directly from HP website.

Is the problem relate of windows service pack too?
Some of the pc is still in Win service pack 2, Others WinXPSP3.

No it is not related to service pack! IT just needs the correct drivers which can be get by browsing the computer (which is connected to the printer)

start/run

//computer's IP or name

Enter

if you can not access it, just be sure that the same username with the same password is added also in the user's of the printer computer. Also be sure they are in the same workgroup.

Now you will be able to brows the computer

You see the shared printer's name there, just click on it to be transferred to the related computer . If the appropriate drivers are installed o the printer computer.

It will be ready now!
