Google groups. If eventid.net or any of the other excellent sites posted with this thread can't help, post your exact error message into google. If a generic search does not work, try google groups.

Most of you already know it usually works like a charm. If you're having a particular error, chances are someone else has already had it.

You guys mentioned almost every site I could think of. The internet is a vast resource of people available to provide information to help solve a specific problem. That's a really nice thing to know. Aside from the different sites you guys have mentioned, let me add http://filetonic.com/techjocks/. It's an online technical support site to provide answers to questions that have something to do with computers. You can ask about pc troubleshoot, computer terminologies etc...

www.techsupportforum.com ... great bunch of guys & gals doing great work helping people to try & fix their hardware problems .. been visiting that site almost daily since 2006 ..

another site that I visit frequently that has a vast knowledge base for the troubled computer user is http://www.tnthelpforum.com

many articles can be found on both sites, new members & new questions always welcome.
