    Thanks
  2. LAN Security

Hi, On a LAN network with 5 VLANs and a Microsoft 2003 DHCP server and also has cisco cat 3750 switches and 2810 routers on the WAN Advice me on what tool to use to deny unwantwed (disallowed) Latops from the LAN & WAN using MAC Addresses. I wanted to use IPTABLES/IPCHAIN in linux but our DHCP server is microsft. Is it possible to use the cisco swithes since there are VLANs configured and how? Thanks
  3. At What Layer of OSI Model PC Works?

You are right but we talk of OSI wen the network is established..however your PC still retains its features as a standalone PC which is one of the features it uses to make it belong to any Layer we ascribe it to when the network is established. This is a nice section...rgds to all

  8. EIGRP

You are right!!! Distance vector.... It minimises the use of CPU resource because it doesnt advertise the whole routes but rather of affected routes or network unlike OSPF(link state) Link state... neighbor table Topology table(Eigrp only has the best routes here and not the entire network route like link state does) Routing table. pretty sure there are better characteristics.
