    What is the Best wireless product ?

    No im not devin. i barely know that guy.. Im sure its kinda overhyped about aerohive's features. but it isnt just marketing nor eyecandy. it does what it says.. literally .. of course the list was a copy paste from some site ive been reading at the time of my post and decided to post here to emphasize the beauty of it. i dont work for aerohive, we just use it in our office and based on what ive experienced with it, it does fairly well compared to centralized AP with controller. anyway, whose devin and whats planet 3?

    What is the Best wireless product ?

    have you considered using aerohive - controller-less wifi solution Most highlighted features of it: Controller-less - simplified deployment, reduced cost edge-based QoS - Provides QoS on the Edge side Low Latency - since it doesnt have controllers, it improves application performance, less hardware - less data to traverse to No single point of failure - higher reliability, no additional cost for redundancy Integrated mesh and dynamic failover - most wifi setup, for AP to function as mesh, youd have controller, but with aerohive it's function is built-in Integrated Firewall, Radius - more simplified deployment no feature licenses This is proven, and we use this in our office.

    clock rate

    Usually you configure clock rate to the router which has the DCE cable on it. and about the 64000 rate, well, i haven't even thought why its always 64000. prolly because thats the standard? well im not sure tho..

    Cisco Products

    Guys, Im planning to purchase a cisco router device. Its my first time to buy one and i dont have any idea what series to buy. I already passed my CCNA exam without using any real devices. Pretty much I was used to configure using only GNS and PT. My questions is, Are all Cisco Devices has CLI? I strolled around the mall and saw different kinds of cisco products, which i think are plug and play devices. Im planning to start my own lab. and I need help on what cisco router should I buy (for home use only) that can help me manually configure them,

    VLANS explanation

    this may sound off topic. but one of my favorite thing to troubleshoot.. is vlans... vlans are great.. they subdivide large networks into smaller ones for better management.

    using NAT for dynamic IP

    guys, ive been studying NAT.. and for some reasons, Im wondering how to configure a NAT when im using a dynamic IP from the ISP? Attaching a ethernet cable to the dsl modem.. what IP address should I put in the fa0/0 for it to dynamically have an IP everytime i turn on the router?

    ARP Process

    if pc3 has / 24 then ping PC1, arp will certainly acquire the MAC of PC1, as well as PC1 if the IP of pc3 is correct. Else it would fail learning the MAC.

    ARP Process

    maybe just a typo.. else, ping would fail...

    After passing CCNA whats next?

    oh, so .. you say, those people who got the CCIE no. XXXX are the lucky few ones for their numbers are little.. pretty much sums up how hard CCIE is.. then, just out of nowhere, is it possible that somebody already owns the CCIE no. 1? lol.. also, what does csco stands for anyway? anyway, thanks for the advice, alot of people do recommend going to CCNP..

    After passing CCNA whats next?

    guys.. I just passed my ICND2, and I was just wondering.. if an CCIE uses the 'CCIE no. xxxx'.. why does a CCNA also use a 'CCNA no. xxxx' or we just use the 'CSCO no. xxxxxxxx' ? and, after passing the exam.. whats my next move? i mean whats the ideal cisco path i should focus on?

    Subnetting the ISP's IP address

    well yea.. still youre going to use VLSM when using private IP, but if youre using a public IP. I doubt.

    Subnetting the ISP's IP address

    yea.. i wanted to know tooo... is it possible that you can really buy that large subnet? and allow the isp give it to you so that you can create your mini ISP's

    using NAT for dynamic IP

    gosh, setting a dynamic IP really is complicated and troublesome than having a static IP. unfortunately, I still cant understand some of the configs you showed, since im still in the CCNA level and im not yet exposed to some commands like ip virtual-reassembly, ppp ipcp route default, etc.. isnt there any simple configuration for my level? and also, about this config ip nat inside source list 1 interface Ethernet 0/0 overload since the router is connected to a modem, obviously it would be using a ethernet cable, so configuring the ethernet0/0 interface command would require all this (below) just to dynamically learn the IP address by the ISP? interface Dialer1 ip address negotiated ip mtu 1492 ip nat outside ip virtual-reassembly encapsulation ppp ip tcp adjust-mss 1452 dialer pool 1 dialer-group 1 ppp chap hostname xxxxxx@1024.xx.xx.xx ppp ipcp route default

    Packet Tracer 5.1 and chap

    hey, try this.. it might work.. just make sure that your username identifies the other router then use debug ppp authentication R1 Config !hostname R1 !username R2 password cisco ! !int se0/0 !encapsulation ppp !ppp authentication chap !clock rate 64000 !no shutdown R2 Config !hostname R2 !username R1 password cisco ! !int se0/0 !encapsulation ppp !ppp authentication chap !no shutdown
