  1. Hi everyone, My CCNP R&S is expiring soon. I'm interested in one of these exams: 642-883 SPROUTE Deploying Cisco Service Provider Network Routing (SPROUTE) 642-885 SPADVROUTE Deploying Cisco Service Provider Advanced Routing (SPADVROUTE) 642-887 SPCORE Implementing Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Core Network Services (SPCORE) 642-889 SPEDGE Implementing Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Edge Network Services (SPEDGE) Does anyone know if the R&S ROUTE plus my CCNA R&S is enough as pre-req to write any of the above to renew my CCNP R&S? Or do I need CCNA SP? Thanks, Dan
  2. Hi everyone, I was wondering if I can get your help and expertise with guiding me to the right direction. I'm in the telecommuncations industry (5+years), but do basic network related tasks on a day to day basis as a network specialist (CCNA level). My goal is to get in to network engineering and design with medium to large scale networks. I have huge interest also, in working with google - http://www.google.ca/about/jobs/locations/mountain-view/engineering/network/network-engineer-corporate-mountain-view.html I have my JNCIA and CCNA. My ROUTE and SWITCH is completed, and next month my TSHOOT will be completed...therefore I will be a full CCNP in a month. I do not believe these skills are enough to land myself a decent job, especially without the experience. I'm currently hunting for something, and hope to get lucky and find something soon so I can utilize these skills day in and day out so possibly in a year or two, I can apply to Google with the knowledge and experience in hand. As for my certification path, I'm not stopping and I was thinking about doing CCDA and CCDP (only 2 exams). Will this make me a better candidate and employee as a network engineer or designer or do you suggest I don't waste my time and jump straight on the CCIE route? I was told the CCDx path is only meant for pre-sales engineering folks. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all, Dan

    Question regarding discontinued exams

Perfect, just wanted to make sure! Thanks a lot.
  4. Hi all, My CCNA expires mid July and I want to write a CCNP exam to renew it. I was looking here: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/learning_certification_type_home.html I'm interested in taking one of the 3 exam options to obtain the CCNP. All of the exams in Path 2 expire at the end of July so I was looking at path 3. The exams I was thinking about were 642-901 BSCI and 642-902 ROUTE. I see that the BSCI exam expires July 31st...so if I write this exam and pass it beforehand, does it count towards the completion of 3 exams to obtain the cert...or would it be considered useless after July 31? Due to this mentality, I was thinking about obviously writing the ROUTE exam because it's still valid after July 31st. Not sure how this works...am I understanding it correctly? Thanks

    Net + - 2 Exam codes

I noticed two exams: N10-004 and JK0-016 Do you have to pass both for the certification? If not, which one must be taken? Thanks
