  1. Hello, I have a firewall question that I need some feedback on. I recently inherited a network infrastructure that is not the norm or at least I have not seen this. I have your standard Cisco ASA 5550 firewall configuration with an outside interface, inside interface and DMZ interface. The inside interface and the DMZ interface both have a direct connection to a Cisco 3750 switch. Is there a way to separate those 2 networks from not talking to eachother? Do I have to purchase another switch? Thanks,

  3. Thanks chrel, I actually have that white paper as well, I was trying to see if anyone has this type of configuration (figure 2) and if there were any issues since I am still having problems with getting HSRP to show up as Active.
  4. Hello, I just started a new position and have been working with the new Nexus 7010's. I have run into a problem and was hoping someone here can help me. The issue I am running into is listed below: I have two Nexus 7010's the have two VDC's configured on both. I also have HSRP running between the 2 Nexus 7010's. Connected to the 7010's are 5010's. When i configured the vPC's for these devices the HSRP between the 7010's goes to an inactive state and I cannot bring it back to an active state. Has anyone worked with these much or could possible point me in the correct location. I have searched the internet and have also worked with our Cisco rep with no help. Are there any know issues with HSRP and vPC's? Thanks, John The picture is also a somewhat close representation of the infrastructure.
