  3. If you have local DHCP server, then you can select "DHCP rely" on Linksys Wireless Router, and input the DHCP server IP address. But you should leave the Router as 192.168.1.1 If you need to assign more than 253 hosts (computer devices), then you should consider to change the default Subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 instead of 255.255.255.0, so that you can add more DHCP scope on your DHCP server, e.g. 192.168.2.0 If you need to expand the Wireless coverage, then you should consider the WAP54G, and visit the following for Access Point act as Bridge, Repeater, AP client mode or AP mode. http://www.linksysbycisco.com/CA/en/support/WAP54G

  5. Would you mind to rephase your sentence?
  6. Did you change the subnet mask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.0.0.0 at the same time? Also check with Gateway.
  7. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/csbr/rv042/admin/guide/RV042_V10_UG_C-WEB.pdf is a PDF file. You may copy thr URL above, open Acrobat Reader, and Paste it at File->Open. It has more than 5MB.

  9. 1) please refer the manual page 65, Appendix C: Gateway-to-Gateway VPN Tunnel. 2) make usre that both workstation can tracert, not ping (since XP Firewall), to each other. 3) Try to change both RV082 from "Static IP" to "Transparent Bridge", refer pg. 11

  11. I don't understand that you can simply them. RV042: WAN: The Real IP (ISP) LAN: 192.168.1.x/24 if you have less than 250 workstations and devices in all main and branch. Otherwise, 192.168.1.x/16, and add 192.168.2.x or even more if necessary. Change both RV082 act as VPN Gateway instead of VPN Router. So, all computers (both Main and Branch) can get IP from RV042 (act as DHCP) and they all use RV042 to Share Internet (ICS).
  12. 1) Make sure that you have enough ahrd drive space to swap. 2) You should have at least 2GB RAM. 3) Make sure that you have CHECKED the Exchange Cache mode. 4) Check your network speed, install the latest drive if necessary. 5) Use Wired instead of Wireless network.
  13. According to Page9-10, you can expand the IP addresses. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/csbr/rv042/admin/guide/RV042_V10_UG_C-WEB.pdf So, you can set up as: 1) 192.168.1.1/255.255.0.0 2) 192.168.2.1/255.255.0.0 etc. Notice that the Subset mask is: 255.255.0.0 instead of 255.255.255.0
