  1. Hi Chaps, I need help and your suggestion in configuration SIP trunk configuration on C3945-CME-SRST/K9 router. We are running CUCM version 8.0.3 and we currently have two PRI's on our voice gateways to communicate over to PSTN but we want to add one more SIP trunk with 6MB bandwidth available to us for an additional DID range. I need to know what should be the configuration required on Call manager side and what configuration would be requried on C3945-CME router. If you direct me to any link where information is available and also what should be my starting point on this project. My telco have provide me following configuration to be used Circuit is activated in SS and number range is ready for customer use. xxxxxxx100-xxxxx999 Customer IP address= 172.29.X.X/30 STC IP Address = 172.29.X.X/30 Protocol= SIP SIP Port = 5060 Transport Protocol=UDP Voice Codec= G711 A-Law DTMF = IN-Band DTMF with RFC2833 SIP Server IP address = 10.205.x.x Thanks in Advance.
  2. Hi Everyone, We are running CUCM 8.0.3 and we have some issues with Unity Server(8.0.3). The issue is with message waiting indicator MDI, some of our users see red lights on their phones indicating that they have message in voice mail box and when they try to check, they don't find any message. Sometime the red light on phone stay on even after listening the message which it supposed to be turned off. This issue does not exist always, sometime it occurs and sometime don't and also this issue is only few users not all. Can anyone help in investigating?
  3. Hi everyone, I have a requirement to configure two DMVPN tunnels form one spoke router terminating on two different hubs. I have done the configuration, one of the tunnel is up and properly routing the packets on that but the other tunnel is also up but can't route traffic on it. Even if the second tunnel shows its up but it can not ping point to point IP's on that tunnel. Below is the configuration for DMVPN. Where i have X.X and Y.Y and Z.Z those mean public IP addresses. interface Tunnel0 ip address 10.112.253.4 255.255.252.0 no ip redirects ip mtu 1400 ip nhrp authentication xxxxxxx ip nhrp map multicast X.X.X.X ip nhrp map 10.112.252.1 X.X.X.X ip nhrp network-id 1 ip nhrp holdtime 450 ip nhrp nhs 10.112.252.1 ip tcp adjust-mss 1360 ip ospf authentication message-digest ip ospf message-digest-key 1 md5 7 0025070E01554F565B ip ospf network broadcast ip ospf priority 0 keepalive 3 2 tunnel source FastEthernet0/0 tunnel mode gre multipoint tunnel key 0 tunnel protection ipsec profile CISCO end interface Tunnel2 ip address 10.108.252.14 255.255.255.0 no ip redirects ip mtu 1400 ip nhrp map multicast 10.108.255.10 ip nhrp map multicast Y.Y.Y.Y ip nhrp map 10.108.252.1 Y.Y.Y.Y ip nhrp network-id 2 ip nhrp nhs 10.108.252.1 ip tcp adjust-mss 1360 load-interval 30 keepalive 2 3 tunnel source FastEthernet0/0 tunnel mode gre multipoint tunnel key 1 tunnel path-mtu-discovery tunnel protection ipsec profile DMVPN_PROFILE end Here tunnel 0 is up and we can ping the IP's across the tunnel but for tunnel 2, its shows up but we can not ping the IP's across the tunnel, See below the show commands, SA-DHA-PSA-R01#show crypto isakmp sa IPv4 Crypto ISAKMP SA dst src state conn-id slot status Y.Y.Y.Y Z.Z.166.243 QM_IDLE 1142 0 ACTIVE X.X.X.X Z.Z.166.243 QM_IDLE 1060 0 ACTIVE IPv6 Crypto ISAKMP SA SA-DHA-PSA-R01#show ip nhrp brief Target Via NBMA Mode Intfc Claimed 10.112.252.1/32 10.112.252.1 X.X.X.X static Tu0 < > 10.108.252.1/32 10.108.252.1 Y.Y.Y.Y static Tu2 < > SA-DHA-PSA-R01# SA-DHA-PSA-R01#show ip interface brief Interface IP-Address OK? 4. Hi everyone, I have defined a class-map for Voice on my router where i am allocating 96kbps using priority command under that for QoS for VoIP calls. My task is to create some event management template which runs as a background process in cisco router and send an alert via email whenever the bandwidth utlization for that Voice class reaches to 96kbps. Anyone have any idea who to do that?
  5. Hi, Since you want to do PBR, does not necessary for any default route to be present in your Global routing table or BGP table, because you are not going to make any decision on basis of destination address, you going to do routing based on the source address of the packet. However your next hop address that you put for PBR should be reachable and must be present in global routing table.
  6. Hi, I have a server running win2000 on some remoter location. one of the guy remoter desktop on that one and then did not properly logged off. So the server still have remote desktop session running on it.Now if we try to remote desktop into that server, it gives the message of terminal session exceeds and we can not login. My question is, is there a way we can reboot it remotely without logging in or we can kill the remote desktop session on that remotely? Tasneem
  7. Hi Everyone, I think i put this question long time back but did not get any proper answer for that so i am trying again. Actually we have DMVPN hub site in UK and we have spoke sites in some other countries connected over slow speed Satellite connections having BW not more then 64K. We running OSPF on these DMVPN tunnels, the problem is whenever these 64K links gets saturated the OSPF Hello timer gets expired and OSPF adjacencies also gets dropped, i need put some sort of QoS for OSPF and some dedicated BW for just OSPF traffic ? Dont know how to match the traffic and where to put the QoS commands. Thanks.
  8. Hi Guys, Can anyone explain how this path filter will work ^([0-9]+)(_\1)*$, i know the first part in parenthesis but i am not able to understand about the second parenthesis part. Tasneem
  9. Hi, I need some some help in making some changes on our voice gateway which is a cisco router. We have DID range from 3137100 - 3137200. We have call manager 4.1 running and extensions configured on that. My client requirement is, he want to configure one extension as 3137191 and if some one dials that extension from PSTN network the call should be routed to some Toll free number 800*******. The extension 3137191 should not be configured against any physical phone. Sine the Telecom operator here is routing the calls for our DID range to our voice gateway (3137191 is part of that range) and the voice gateway should translate that call from 3137191 to TOLL free number 8******** and send it back to PSTN network. Tasneem
  10. Hi, I have configured 1841 for PPPoE session on Wimax link. This Wimax link is 2 MB. I am running DMVPN on top of PPPoE. My users are complaining for slow speed. when I run show interface Dialer 1 it shows 56 kbps BW configured on that and also on the virtual interface associated with that. My question is, if I configure the BW to 512 or 1 MB under dialer interface configuration command it would not actually increase the speed of the link. Because in my opinion this BW configured on interface is only used for routing protocol metric calculation or may be with some other stuff but it does actually increase the transfer rate or speed of the link. Please correct me if i am wrong. thanks in advance.
  11. Hi, This post can be closed. I tested and implemented with DMVPN and it works perfectly fine.. Thanks Tasneem
  12. I think DMVPN will do the Job for me becasue on DMVPN hub router we dont specify the remote side public IP address. I thinks its learned through NHRP, i am not sure about this?
  13. Hi Guys, We have 2811 router and that is configured as Hub router for all the remote sites. We have configured DMVPN on this router. This router has a static Pubilc IP address and all the remote site also have static public addresses. So no issue with DMVPN. We also have some Ipsec tunnels comming on this router instead of DMVPN. We have a new requirement, now we are going to have new remote site and ISP is going to give us Wimax and most probably with dynamic IP address. I need to build the Ipsec tunnel back to same hub router using dynamic ip address on remote site. can anyone please suggest how we can do this? Thanks in advance. Tasneem.
  14. Thanks Faisal, I find out that one. The below links that you mentioned are very helpfull. Tasneem
