  7. in the diagram the interfaces is different than physical connection: [Router SW1]] model = 3640 console = 2007 autostart = false slot1 = NM-16ESW F1/7 = SW2 F1/7 F1/8 = SW2 F1/8 F1/9 = SW2 F1/9 F1/10 = SW3 F1/7 F1/11 = SW3 F1/8 F1/12 = SW3 F1/9 F1/13 = SW4 F1/7 F1/14 = SW4 F1/8 F1/15 = SW4 F1/9 see the diagram the link between SW1 and SW4: f1/8 SW1 <--->f1/15 SW4 but in the physical connection F1/8 SW1 <---> SW2 F1/8. Please help me to start my study!?!

This is good news. I tried to ping 192.168.1.254 which is dsl router interface (Gateway) and get successfuly reply and NAT is translating. This is also good news. Now, I tried to Ping the gateway of the service provider or the proxy of the service provider but i'm not able.?? But When I connect PC directly to DSL router and ping proxy I got reply!! Please note that the proxy server has real IP address which start with 212.*.*.* This is some output for nat translating: NAT*: s=10.10.10.3->192.168.1.66, d=192.168.1.254 NAT*: s=192.168.1.254, d=192.168.1.66->10.10.10.3 Also, I tried to ping proxy server from Cisco Router by using source address of cisco router and there is no reply: ping 212.*.*.* source f0/0 What do you think?

    You know the problem is we cannot understand each other, I want only to get the idea of this connection, so if you can help me in specific points: WAN IP{DSL router}LAN IP <---->192.168.0.1 (I think?) (DHCP) {Cisco Router} 10.10.10.1/24 -------> 10.10.10.2/24 {User PC} for LAN IP, what is the address for example in this topology the address should be like 192.168.0.2? I will send you the show run

    I'm accespted your port. but why we have this configure. it will become useles without apply it on an interface? I dont know if i'm understanding what you mean... ip dhcp pool insideDHCP network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 default-router 192.168.1.1 dns-server 212.93.192.4 212.93.192.5 also, is it possible to have internet if we are using NAT on the DSL router and also on the Cisco Router? my situation as following: 86.*.*.*/32 {DSL router} 192.168.1.1/24 <---->192.168.1.2/24(DHCP) {Cisco Router} 10.10.10.1/24 -------> 10.10.10.2/24 {User PC} Is this correct way?

    Got difficult to understand what you said.. Lsn, I connect dsl modem directly to the router. DSL modem has a DHCP enable on his lan interfaces. So when I connect the router to the modem it got an address from DSL modem POOL (192.168.1.0/24) when 192.168.1.1 is the ip address of modem lan interface. What about DHCP configuration on the router, where we need to apply it?

    Yes I did tryied it now and I found the interface connect with DSL got an private address. but I was not able to communicate with real address of the DSL modem..! what is the exact setuf for DSL modem Routed or Bridge? where you apply insideDHCP pool?

    Thank you for your great example. I have a point. * DSL connect to ISP (WAN) by using one real address. Ok and on the Ethernet port of the DSL modem we got private address. This mean when I connect one PC directly to ethernet port of the modem it will automatically got private address. So far so good! Then, when I connect the router to one ethernet port of the modem, how should the router would be configure to obtain address auto or statically?? Hope you undertsand the point. thanks in advance

    INTERNET (ISP)<-------> DSL (Speed touch) <FE-----------f0/0> Router <--------> LAN (users) I want to let users communicate with and router communicate with DSL, then DSL send the request to ISP. For example: I want to connect my machine to router - LAN. so i can request any web. Hope this will help
