  1. Not sure how often this may happen or if this is even the case, I have a laptop with two HDD - Acer 7750G-9621 - Recently the thing keeps reading the disk and almost locking the system. Just started back in December. Anyway, I hear the clicks so I need to replace. Funny part of the story is, when I removed the extra storage HDD, the long reading stopped for about a week. I thought that was the problem..long story short is that it wasn't. The storage drive will randomly read/click now as well. I tried another drive from a different laptop I dont use anymore, did a restore, and now that disk is clicking and doing long reads for no reason. I need to get a new disk but does this sound right? Can my laptop be causing all these drives to start failing or is is most likely bad luck? Anyone else have something like this happen? Side note...I'm dual booting Win7/Fedora 16, I can boot to fedora and work fine for the most part. Just throwing it out there.
  2. I've done some research and it looks like most are saying it happens after a resolution change, align to grid is check, and auto arrange is check. Well none of these apply as I've tried them checked and unchecked, I dont play games so my resolution never changes. What happens is when saving an excel file that is on my desktop the icon will move to the further most left positon on the desktop if there is space. This only happens with excel files. All other files stay in place. Has anyone got a fix or recommendation. Using Vista Home premium on laptop.
  3. I work as a computer operator with a good company and getting more certs than what I have wont get me any promotions. I like what I do but there is also openings for systems engineers but not sure if I really want to go that route. I may even be able to get my company to pay for my MCSA/MCSE Certs as well, but it would be just to say I have them. Should I even try?
  4. In older versions of windows when you select multiple pictures and hit "return" they all open up. In Vista when I do the same thing a print option program comes up?? I have IE as the default to open jpeg, gif, etc. When Microsoft Photo editor is the default I can select multiple files, "return" and they open up instead of the print program. I did a search on how to change this but no luck, any guru's out there know if there is a way to just get the files to open instead of having to open them one at a time with IE?? Thanks!!!
  5. Congrats to you!!!! How many ques is on this exam? thanks
  6. Hello all, I have a question about Outlook 2003 and sharing a PST file. This issue is our CEO wants his secretary to manage his outlook for him. We have to use .pst files to keep our mailserver from clutter, we are only allowed 85KB. Since neither can access the .pst file at the same time how can this be done? Is there some 3rd party software that will allow this? If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!!
