I’m looking for a new set of eyes. I’m in the process of building a CCIE voice lab. I have everything needed, but I’ve come to a bump in the road. I can’t seem to access the server, which is on a 192.168.2.0 network. I’ve tweaked the lab so many times, I’m sure there are a few more holes in it. I need any help I can get, thanks for your time. Here’s a rundown on the network. I am looking to build a part-virtual, part-real equip lab for cvoice that can carry into the CCIE level even if it happens to include cucm 9 by then. I have a 6-core server with 16g ram and have VMWare workstation now. I can include a couple of quad nics for virtual nodes and GNS3 routers. I will run 3725 for MPLS WAN in GNS3. I can cable the routers cloud interface from GNS3 to a 3560 switch. To keep prices low, I was thinking of just one 24 port 3560 PoE. I think I can plug all routers and nodes from different sites into the single switch with SVI interfaces/ VLANs. I was thinking as long as the nodes and their accompanying default-router were on the same subnet on the switch, they can be seen as seperate sites. I have access to Server 2008 R2 for AD, DHCP, and DNS to run virtual as well as CUCM 8.6 for now. I also have exchange server and linc server also. For Routers I was thinking of a 2801 and 3611xm for branch offices, and a 3611xm for the HQ gateway. I have my CCNA as of early this yr, and am going through a hands-on program for CCNA Voice that ends in 1.5 months from now. I don't know too much about Voice yet so am posting this. I want to keep the cost low, but not at the sacrifice of learning. I thought the 12.4T on the 2611xm routers would be fine working with the 2801 and CUCM server, but please give me your thoughts. I didn't think I needed more than one switch to attach phones from different locations to test SRSV and whatnot. How can I simulate the PSTN in my NW? Are their any similar routers to the 2611XM for voice gateways that are cheaper? I need all gateways to have 2-16 DSP's, and to test PSTN fallover too.
