Passed 640-863 today


Materials used:
Cisco Press Authorized Self-Study Guide, 2nd Edition by Diane Teare: Just use this book exclusively. It has much more detail.
Cisco Press Official Exam Certification: I didn't think this book had enough detail to pass the exam.
Cisco Press CCDA Quick reference Sheets: If you read the Diane Teare book, the sheets are pretty useless.

My advice for someone starting their studying for this exam, I would recommend the Diane Teare book exclusively. Read it front to back particularly if you really want to know the material and if you're relatively new to the Cisco networking world.

CCDA Quick Reference Sheets by Kevin
CBT Nuggets (really GREAT lullaby..100%success rate on me )


Next step...HOLIDAYS and then BSCI probably..

I passed CCDA few days ago I had BCMSN before and it was very useful.
I prepared from:

CCDA Self Study Guide
CCDA Quick Reference Sheet
CCDA Official Exam Certification guide
and CCDA Sybex

i tried to watch CBT Nuggets but it wasn't the same like BCMSN.

I passed this afternoon

My materials used to study were:

- Designing for Cisco Internetwork Solutions (DESGN) (Authorized CCDA Self-Study Guide) (Exam 640-863) (2nd Edition) by Diane Teare (Hardcover - Oct 22, 2007) ** I strongly prefer this over the official exam certification by Bruno.

- CCDA Quick Reference Sheets



How I studied:

I spent about a month reading the Diane Teare book. It was way easier to digest the material in this book compared to the official certification cisco press by bruno. It's all theory, so reading this book and thoroughly understanding the material is key. Review the reference sheet about a week before I took the exam.

Two of them were already mentioned in this forum.

The last one was pretty easy.
