i think php is the better than any other scripting languages.
it is more flexible and easy to use.
of course run fastly. The main and best plus point of php is that it is plateform independent.

I have never used PHP before but when I browsed through there site www.php.net.
I found it quite intresting.
Maybe members who have used it should shed more light on this.

hmmm well i've used php a bit also i have used .net for quite a while ,and my conclusion is if your project kinda small the best way is PHP as you said its faster and cheaper but if we are talkin about big projects (corporate level ) then its either J2EE or .NET although most the corporates will go for the J2EE becuase its faster more secure and you gain more low level control .NET kinda of slow sometimes also J2EE but actually if you think about it, alot of factors will be included hosting ,your code optimization ,so on,...
so again it depends on the project and your emotion of course

Php is opensource server site language. It's very easy just like c or java. But the support is less. Microsoft.Net provides with full suppsorts and very nice IDE. All languages is integrated in a system. U can use more than 80 computer languages including ADA, Pascal, Cobol, Fotran and etc. In .Net, all languages is same and the application developed under .Net is haviest among the three. For J2EE, I used Apache Struts Framework with Tomcat. It's very good tool, light and easy but I like PHP most.

Hi,
I have been using PHP for nearly four years up to now and I found out that it is the easiest programming language to study and use.
There about 4 applications that I have been developing using PHP and each time I want to upgrade the coding, there will be simplest way to do it.
Other materials and ideas from experts can be easily found in the internet and that I can expand and implemented into my applications.
For me, PHP is the Best!!
Regards.

PHP syntax is similar to PERL but simpler than PERL. For server-side scripts it would be first choice. Really easy to work with and easy to learn too - I picked it up in almost two or three days. The best part is, since it is open source many developers come up with different types of utilities and have been considerably expanding its capabilities over the years.
