Everytime when i play a a game especially PES09, my system hags completely and i have to restart the pc. while checking event viewer, i found this error message "
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected." . What should i do? i have clean my pc (remove all dust), check my processor temperature.

Hmn.

Actually I can help if the computer hangs / Freezes not sure I can really help with the "hag" Issue. Can you please elaborate. Lol tongue.gif

Hey man, Can you run the disk defragementer in safe mode. Basically it wouldnt help resolve the issue, but it will tell me if the computer would freeze in safe mode or not. Disk Defragmenter is a Drive intensive application. It will churn the whole hard drive. Which in a way is good, it will also make your hdd data defragged .

You should check in safe mode testing for hours may be. If the computer freezes? well if it doesnt. Good, now you know its either a driver issue or a software issue. You could try tools like msconfig, clear startup, reinstall video driver, sound driver updating HDD firmware (If applicable). Etc etc.

If it does freeze in safe mode. Well time to check hardware. 2 most likely causes for freeze issues are Memory sticks and processor over heating. Which you confirmed is not the case. If the computer is freezing in between running the computer. You could check the CPU Fan and the thermal greasing drying out.

Not sure what else to type.

Cheers!

For god sake someone explain me what does the word HAG Mean. I thought hag and hang were same words just spelled incorrectly.

But now to add insult to my injury HAG seems to be a word.

Ok - Let me try again. So when you computer hags Shaqib, what happens ?

Cheers!

Okie-

Hmn. Well atleast it still sounds like a Video Driver, Card or memory related issue.

1. Try uninstalling reinstalling the nvidia driver. There is a software called Ntune. You can download it from the NVIDIA website. Use that to get optimal settings for your video card.

If this doesnt work.

Reseat the video card. Reinstall the drivers again.

If this doesnt work.

Reseat the memory.

If that that doesnt work.

Reinstall the OS with out the video card.

Put the video card back. Install the video driver.

Yeah well... Check ....

While that should keep you busy for a few hours..... to a day....... to a few days... Let me think of more!

Cheers!

PES09 tends to hang every now and then due to
directx issue.
install with latest directx and try.
some of the GPU's will not support "PES09"( a few, not all due to directx support)
if you have running the game with a patch there could also be a memory hole in it.

But still the system hangs... i have 4 1GB memory chips, should i remove and install 1 by 1 for test or problem is elsewhere??
