I have AMR-4.0.015.bin for the alcatel ATM interface but not the version you mention, are there any benifits with that version ??

There have been reports on various forums that the Cisco 877 may have some trouble with the ADSL2+ equipment that British Telecom are using - the suggested solution was to use 4.0.195 firmware (AFAIK).

Hi
Try the following
config-if)#dsl operating-mode ?
adsl2 ITU G.992.3 Annex A and L
adsl2+ ITU G.992.5 Annex A
ansi-dmt ANSI T1.413
auto auto detect mode
itu-dmt ITU G.992.1 Annex A
I have found the AMR version that I am running to be stable enough, higher speeds are doomed to failure with my local exchange but I can maintain a 6mb connection for months without a reload

OK, I'll give that a go ... my line has just been switched over and is in the 10 day training period (currently using a NetGear router) so I'll wait until things stabilise.
