Mercedes CL600 bi-turbo
Mark
That one is realistic, if I get this next contract in France I will delay it. But if I don't it will be an upgrade from my current CL500

we can now turn to whether turbo or non-turbo is better
I like the use of low pressure turbos on high capacity engines, the twin turbo on the cl takes the power plant up to 500bhp but is quite soft in its delivery.
Stuff like subarus, EVO's etc are either on or off and are annoying to drive especially when they come on or off boost just when you dont want it to
I dont know about the 370z I have never had a chance to try one, a friend had a skyline that was nice to drive when he bought it but then the MOD's were put on. Ended up incredibly quick but undriveable as a daily drive "He sold it and bought a Range Rover and was much happier"
My thoughts
Mark
PS 500bhp is a gas, if you can sell house, wife, kids etc just to experience it
Also nut job bikes used to be my love, this was my FZR1000 exup with NOS. Just the job for going down to the shops

It's not just BHP that makes difference but weight and weight distribution on axles.

My all time fav CAR is BMW M3; 2nd place Porsche GT3.
It's not just BHP that makes difference but weight and weight distribution on axles.
Never had an M3 but I have had two 911's and had to relocate my teeth and kidneys after every journey

I am sure there are better performance cars than the one I mentioned, but few can are more fun&easy to drive than those two, especially M3.
L.E. I know you live in UK, where do you really use all your Merc BHP?

Mark, that is because car was equipped with sport suspensions; also I might suspect you are fond of Merc's high comfort which is can't be compared with pure breed racing cars like 911.

I have a radar detector and keep an eye in my rear view mirror a lot
France used to be fun but they impound your car now and the fines are monumental

By contrast when driving on Germany it's like heaven and it s just a matter of will and sense of security.

hmmm wondering about a car model whose production been officially stop almost decade ago by Toyota but still so so many ppl crazy behind this old stuff, check the traffic here ==> http://www.supraforums.com/forum
I do not have practical experience yet with sports car but one thing i got that with right modifications a supra can still able to beat any new beasts like Lamborghini, Bugatti or whatever you suppose to run in parallel.
@Mark, nice and clean yamaha ^thumbs up^ ..

I was fallen in love with supra due to the movie like The Fast and the Furious (2001) where i first time saw and felt the sound of a damn sport car, i think supra was also shown in another movie "gone in 60 seconds". And now the Fast and Furious 2011 released recently, wondering if they used again supra, anybody watch yet?
c'mon faisal it's not a movie it's more like a 2 hour long commercial.

there is an annual night of commercials, where supposedly only the best commercials are being played through out the night. fnf nor gone in 60s has ever made it there

On the other hand, 1 series comes with a new personality, as it is shorter and lighter than Z4; although I drove both I honestly can't say which is better. I think Z4 has a bit of edge but it's like 51 - 49 or 52 - 48.

Hope you will do it sooner. After all Supra is not that expensive, it just depends of the motorization you choose, as power range starts from 300 bhp up to 1300.I am a freak of sports car but still my fav is Toyota supra. Hopefully one day i would be able to buy one supra.
I have a strange feeling they'll replace the 135i with M1.
No way! It will be just 1M. M1 is a legend to be reborn one day.

laf,
here http://www.topspeed....-m1/ke2536.html so it really is 135i on steroids...
10x mate! I am a BIG FAN of all BMW motorized vehicles including the fabulous S1000RR.
Although in my country BMW has a bad reputation as old models are drove by teenagers and generate many accidents, I find it is the perfect match for me. Now about 1M, it will be a small devil as weight is very important when comes to handling. Nevertheless I would still prefer M3 as it has all the figures in perfect balance.

Sorry but Toyota is really a loser in making sports car, and if you compare it with honda then toyota has absolutely no chance to stand against it.
my favt car these days is Honda Accord Coupe 2010 which i bought 2 months back.

- these two cars were developed with about 10 years gap
- while Supra is now almost a legend, this model has yet to prove.
- while Supra is a SPORT model, Accord is more a luxury car.

No i was not comparing Accord with Supra, i was simply saying that Honda is Top Notch performer in Sports then Toyota in Formula 1 Toyota really sucks
Couldn't agree more; Honda has its legacy while building very good engines. Before choosing BMW I was keen to buy Honda Civic type S as it's a very balanced car to drive.

You are right Toyota is not enough popular in their regular cars or new sports car like formula 1 etc which you mentioned and personally i do not like this car vendor..
But the case of supra is very different among rest all Toyota products. Only when you would go deep in car racing then you will come to know about supra. Sorry i have not seen yet any single supra or Z4 in my country plus cant buy and show you practically what i am saying right now but the least i pointed out a supra forum in my earlier reply..
Just am curious to know about a Honda brand which can easily beat supra?
