Hello everyone,
I really need some guidance.
I am already a graduate(Telecommunication Engineering), and a CCNA. Currently I am preparing for CCNP.
I plan on getting masters degree from a good university after doing my CCNP. One university I came across is: Charles Sturt University, Australia. They offer "Masters in Networking and Sys. Admin." degree program. They have different tracks(Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, etc). Cisco track focuses on CCNP. My questions:
1. What's the value of such degrees on one's resume? Are they considered more/less/equal to other more common degrees? (say Masters in Computer Science. Or any Telecommunication related masters degree)
2. (If you know) What's the reputation of Charles Sturt University?
3. If I opt for Distance Learning program(CSU is offering this, and I am not in Australia), is distance learning considered equally well to on-campus learning in professional world?
I will be working + studying if I start this. And I will get academic points due to my CCNP certification(which means I will be able to skip some courses).
4. When all is said and done, what's the difference(in terms of professional value) between a graduate with CCNP cert. and a Post-graduate in Networking(CCNP track)? Both are CCNP.
Thanks

1. For sure any certifications on your resume will be good. This will confirm that you are keen in IT and computer modules.
2. This university is good for the MSc programs and has a good reputation. IT is considered as second level universities worldwide, But it is not recommended for PhD programs
3. Worldwide, DL courses and Campus Courses do not differ. They are the same and the only thing that will differ is their prices. Even their exam questions are the same...
Good luck
