Certification status

Recommended Posts

I take exam 70-290, 70-291, 70-685, 70-680, 70-270. According Microsoft I must have MCP, MCTS, MCSA, MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7.

But I have only 2 of them - MCP and MCTS on the View my transcript page. On the certification order page 3 available certificate :

1 - MCTS: Windows® 7, Configuration

2 - Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

3 - Microsoft® Certified Professional

Can you say me why I cant get my MCSA and MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 ? And what is certificate- MCTS: Windows® 7, Configuration ?

You will need to wait at least 4-6 weeks to be upgraded, I am not sure when you have taken the last two exams

As Mip suggested you will have to wait until MS will reflect your new MCITP status on your transcript, specially if this is your first MCITP in case you can always contact the regional center close to you and ask them to check.

As per MCTS, that is the Microsoft Certtified Technology Specialist certification, kind of the old "MCP" just it reflects your proficiency with a specific technology in this case Windows 7 configuration.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Lethe.

Here is sertification order

And how can I understand, I will have 5 certificates, not 4?

1 - MCTS: Windows® 7, Configuration

2 - Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

3 - Microsoft® Certified Professional

4 - Microsoft® Certified System Administrator

5 - MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7

MCP and MCTS (for the sake of the example let's call it standalone) usually are not counted, I for one have multiple MCTS/MCITP and SE/SA but I never mentioned 4 x MCP or 6 x MCP, they are just part of the higher MCSE/MCITP.

To have a broader picture of how it works I would invite you to read here http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-overview.aspx where everything is explained in detail.

Cheers Lethe.

You have already told you have taken the two last exams yesterday (Today is 13 June) and you have to wait for 4-6 weeks to be updated the whole certifications

You can not expect the certification effect this soon
