Dear all

I have a question on windows vista's right. My account is already admin . but I still can't install any program that are designed for windows vista. I tried run as administrator. but not helped . what do I do?

I also faced the same problem in uninstalling a existing program.

I have not worked with Windows vista, but in windows 7, even if you are with admin rights, its core is based on the Linux and you have to right click and choose "Run as administrator".

I am not sure if you will have the same option in vista too or not!

Hi ,

I think It could be couple of thous problems :

1) Update your windows vista to a up to data SP
2) Scan for viruses and trojans in the system
with spybot or other tool and AV soft.
3) Did you tried installing a existing program in safe mode? ... .
4) Are you sure you have admin rights is Secpol.msc .... :_)
5) or your vista system is not good and corrupted with a virus that you need to reinstall it ...

Good luck ,
