Hi,

Doing some spring cleaning on my lab in prep for my IE. I will be getting a couple of 1841s and 3560s, but was wondering if instead of using 2611XMs (Which I currently have 2 of) - If I upgrade my 3640's to 128/64 will they do the trick to save me buying some more 2611XMs. If so, What IOS would you recommend?

If I keep hold of my 3640's my lab would end up consisting of the following,

3 x 3640
2 x 2611XM
1 x 2610XM
2 x 1841
1 x 2522
2 x 2501
2 x 3550
2 x 3560
1 x Pissed off wife because of the rack in the back bedroom.

Cheers,
Marc

Yeah use the 3640 - INE used them in the R&S v3 lab before. The only reason why i did not use them was they are more noisy, cost more to run and the upgrades (DRAMM/FLASH) are more that 2600XM's.

My lab is now at -

3 x 1841 (128/32)
6 x 2600XM (128/32) all with WIC-1T
FRS - 2600XM (128/32)
2 x 2501 (16/16) swapping these for 2600XM next month
2x 3350

Need 2 x 3560 and 2511 now.

Yes one p1ss3ed off wife as mine lives in the front/living room. :)

I like 3640's! Once you have the boiler running and a good head of steam they are fine. Coal is a bit expensive now so don't run them for to long.
