Good day all,

I don’t know how to setup my securecrt to let me start multiple TAPS Sessions through my serial cable (I have no Ethernet connection to my access server just octal cable which is useing COM3)

Is it possible to open multiple sessions ?

If yes please let me know how.

Thanks a lot

I don't think you can setup multiple sessions over the console port. With my AS2511, I use ethernet to setup multiple tabs/sessions, and telnet into the access server using the port assigned to each device.

Hi

You need one of these http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cc2919e64 plug it in to your AUI port and configure an ip address.

Once you have done that you will be able to connect to the indivdual line numbers e.g.

192.168.2.1 2001
192.168.2.1 2002

check this document for more detail http://www.cisco.com...08014f8e7.shtml

Each line represents a serial connection from the async interface.

you mean nothing is related to the securecrt configuratios??

so i just buy this transceiver and plug it on AUI Port and give it ip and it will work ?

You need to read the cisco document that I provided a link to, all securecrt will do is connect to what you tell it to. So if you have 16 active lines on your terminal server you would create 16 sessions within securecrt

This might help you http://cisconet.com/...he-labccie.html
