Hi,

The story is like this:

Previous existing users properties are as below:

Home: /home/user_name
Group:/ user_name

Now, when I try to create a new user by either useradd or Administrative GUI, the default home is change to /export/home/user_name.

So, I tried to change the default home directory by using vi /etc/default/useradd, and it successfully changed. But when trying to add a new user again, there is some problems.

It may say the directory \home\user_name can not be created.
Other problems are at first login which it asks to be redirected to root instead of \home\user_name.

So, I reverse the above actions to home directory /export/home/user_name and now when I use su user_name, it can not got to its home and shows a bash3.X line command ! but the login process is ok and another probelm rises here which is related to logging in to other node and it gives permission denied as it can not create the /home/user_name

Any body can help what is the problem ?

Thanks
