In order to confine any topology change effect to a limited network space I need to establish smaller STP domian. How can I achieve that?

reduce the stp diameter, it does the trick but its a nasty way of doing things. Can you explain in more detail why you think your stp domain is too large?

You could try multi-region mst or maybe enable pruning but without knowing what the issue is I cannot really advise you.
