What is the difference between FortiWeb and Fortigate

3 posts in this topic

We are looking at purchasing Fortigate Firewall appliance but then they recommend FortiWeb is well? Why do we need both, can't we just replace with one or even with Citrix netscalar?

Fortigate is not selling Citrix NetScalar.

The simple answer is that everyone needs to .

Which is better depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Fortiweb is a web application firewall (WAF) that protects hosted web applications from attacks that target known and unknown exploits. Using multi-layered and correlated detection methods.

FortiGate consolidated security platforms deliver unmatched performance and protection while simplifying your network. Fortinet offers models to satisfy any deployment requirement from the FortiGate-30 series for small offices to the FortiGate-5000 series for very large enterprises, service providers and carriers.

Both Techniques Basically Use for Networking Firewall which is Provide Security for Network.
