First of all , i have learned lots of things from this forum.
Actually before i started my track, I went to microsoft website and got some informations about the tracks that i can follw and the exams, then made my decision about my mcse track. So i knew what i was against and my targets.
I did search about all the exams that i needed in either here or shares section, i wrote 70-270, 70-290, 70-291, 70-284, 70-293, 70-294, 70-298 one by one. I created top level folder called MCSE on my desktop and created child folders for each of those exams and put all the related stuff in them. My main idea was to get at least one ebook and one cbt for each exam. And i downloaded all sort of stuff. And i also bought microsoft core exam books because i like reading.
I knew that preparation is very important and the key for success. After a week, I was ready to start.
Those are my exams that I had.
70-270........... 58 questions -------> MCP 70-290........... 44 questions + 3 simulations 70-291........... 40 questions + 3 simulations 70-284........... 32 questions -------> MCSA + messaging 70-293........... 43 questions + 3 simulations 70-294........... 42 questions + 3 simulations 70-298 ........... 5 Case Studies --------> MCSE
Microsoft books are okey but sometimes you need more in detail. I have found sybex much better and more helpful. I think having both of them will give you extensive info and be better idea for studying.
About the CBTs ....
Overall, cbtnuggets videos are great. They do go into details and show you how to do most of the things. I really like them. But be sure you like american accent and jokes.
Testout is also good. Most of the time, they have simulations that they want you to repeat what you learned right after the topic ends and give you a brief notes about the topics. They are good.
[productbanned] is a bit boring. I didn't like it at all except 284. Actually most of the time, i think, it depends on the tutor, how he approaches the topics and the examples.
VTC, it is hard to find. I think, I had only one and they are better than [productbanned].
If you have time to watch, try to get first two and you will see what i meant. They will complete each other.
You will get more examples and more info. Try not to fall asleep though.
Definetely download VMWARE. PRACTICE is the main key to learn. Once you apply them in your lab, you will gain power to judge all questions and eliminate choices given to you. This is very important. Only thing is you need more RAM for your computer.
I have tried microsoft virtual server, but i didn't like it. It wasn't stable but may be the latest versions are.
Testking. actualtests, examsheets, certkiller are all the same. Try to get the latest but .....
As i said before, when you practice in your lab, you will find lots of wrong answers in them. So DO NOT TRUST them. Put your own answers instead . Ask youself why they are wrong, Or even if you get the right answer, try to do it in your lab, vmware and see why they are right..
I must admit, i have learned lots of stuff from testking or others explanations. Sometimes they give you different appoach.
Finally, I would like to thank all the guys in this forum who help other people with their experiences. And special thank again to GLOW for his errata's. I know he is preparing erratas for 297 and 298.
THANKS EVERYBODY ....
