1. Which courses in college did you find that were helpful in your work?


2. If you would become a new grad again, what would you do to get a job; learn more to get a networking certificate, do another job in the computer field for collecting some experience, or something else?

4. While you were seeking a job, did you receive a paper exam, interview, or both?



5. You must work with many tools; for example, network analyzers, fiber optic meters, network monitoring software, etc. How did you learn to use these types of tools?

Questions:
1. Which courses in college did you find that were helpful in your work?

All of them except for ITIL and other similar managment tools, absolute waste of time.


2. If you would become a new grad again, what would you do to get a job; learn more to get a networking certificate, do another job in the computer field for collecting some experience, or something else?

All of the above, any experience is good and you will have to accept many roles to achieve your goals



3. After you got the job, how did you maintain your knowledge?

Vendor, web, research, practice and using it on a day to day basis



4. While you were seeking a job, did you receive a paper exam, interview, or both?

Mixture, it depends on the employer

Interest + Money

People! hardware software work within a given set of parameters, people don't

I don't, i would be happy doing something else that had a more tangible product. An artisan role of somekind, creative!

People, everything else has documentation to tell you how it works



10. What advantages or disadvantages might you find in working for a government agency or private company?

Committees, meetings, people who are party to decision making who know nothing about the product e.g. project managers
