Hi,
Does anybody have membership?
Plus is it a good value added on the CV?

http://www.ieee.org/.../join_dues.html

I checked their^^ fee, looks like a good deal to join them. Any opinion?

I had before, but didn't renew it anymore

IT is good to be on CV :) if you are using it as a student membership it worth to have it as it will be cheaper :)

PS: For student and graduate IEEE membership it costs just 36.75 $

Can you detail why would it be good for a classic network engineer?

@MIP, Thanks, today i asked to my teacher about any ieee official desk here in university but he said NO. I might need to go IEEE official branch office here in Islamabad for pursue this.

@lac_f, In fact once i saw a CV sample on net where there was a separate "Membership" section so i thought to put the same kind on my CV and have to wrote sadikhov, IEEE and others like that.

Welcome, I am not sure, but I think you can make an IEEE account first for free and choose the IEEE student membership package and pay it by credit card, no need to pursue it on other branches. If you are interested in other groups of IEEE , some are free after registeration and for some other you may need to pay 24-45 $ depends on the group, it has alos the computer science group which you can take advantage of their articles for your personal knowledge upgrade

Good luck
