Hello all...

I have decided to move to india for a period of 6 to 8 months to get intensive Cisco training... It is cheaper there and resources are available.

But i am wondering which city is the best? Anyone here can help me... I know Sadikhov has a huge number of indian members.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to India!

Although Bombay is a bit costly, it has the best Cisco training programs available across the country.

There is one institute in bombay called 'Compufield' which is prefered mostly by the outside students.
Get more information here:
hxxp://compufield.com

Other good institutes for Cisco training are:
1. Karrox Technologies ( karrox.com)
2. Gatestraining institute (gatestraining.com)

There is only one Cisco authorized training centre available in mumbai, in fact across India.
It is 'Datacraft'

Karrox is fraud. Go for IIHT or Vibrant Tech.

Does anyone know much about Koenig bootcamps ?. I was also thinking of doing some sort of a bootcamp in India ?!

For CCNA It costs Rs. 10000 (INC) & for CCNP it costs around Indian Rs. 40000.
& for CCIE the bootcamp training costs around Indian Rs. 100000.

In bombay CCIE training is available only at Datacraft, Compufield & Karrrox.

Not to long back from India, done the MCSE 2003 course with Koenig in Shimla (Himalayas). Good helpful staff and much cheaper than UK. Due to time constraints went for one of their fasttracks 35 days but it wasn't enough time to complete course, revise, exam the next day and another book !! Just ran out of time.

But some of the the tutors I met were friendly and helpful, There are 3 centres to choose from (Simla, Delhi and Goa)

Good luck with the studying

Hai,

Thanks for choosing to study in INDIA.

Education is always best in South India especially Chennai .

Even technical centres are very much more for studying and practising.

So better choose chennai since cost of living is cheap when compared to other places

Thanks and Regards

Asim

Hi

As I´m going soon in india for the same reason, I would like to ask you if you have already decide on which institution do you plane to take the courses?

On my point of view: Koening seems to be professionel..it cost a bit more but at least your are sure to get good courses or ?

I´m going in India in august for the CCNA only and then in January for the CCNP

There are 4 institution who seems to be OK

Compufield
Techknowledge
Gates
Koening

But I don´t which on to take..any advise?

Thx a lot

Guys,

So In mumbai..it will cost my around 550 ˆ
including " "one to one instructor", food, accomodation and exam"
for 50 hours with compufield, but I did not get any advise about this institution and that is the resaon why for the moment koening is the best option... but I did not yet take any decision
Other major problem is the Strong India/english accent who can be not understandable! that´s another trick..according to koening their instructor are trained to provide an understandable english for foreigners

So guys and girls if you have any tips please share it with us

Cheers

Greeting from Brussels

wherever u go , DONT EVEN THINK OF GOING TO JETKING INFOTRAIN CAUSE ITS THE BIGGEST FRAUD i have ever experienced in my life. my networking course which included CCNA, PIX, checkpoint, CWNA and Linux was supposed to get over by 6 months and its been 2 yrs and still no sign of finishing..
on top of that THEY THREATEN TO BEAT U BY GOONS AND BREAK UR LEGS IF U DONT PAY THE TOTAL FEE EVEN IF THEY DONT FINISH THE COURSE...
so watch out dude... dont even think of going to ur nearest JETKING ...... they even accepted they were incapable of finishing the course and it was just a big adverstisement to draw the students...

One thing that puzzles me is that Koenigs website and this website looks very similar.

http://www.aicte.net/default.htm

When I emailed them both they also told me that they are not linked to one another ???

What's interesting is that the student profiles and most other things also remain the same ??

I am beginning to wonder whether this is another con ??!!

Maybe our Indian forum friends will be able to advise us better on these issues and places !

Ok after abit of research,
im deciding between compufield, ipsol and hbfnetworks

Im leaning towards compufield, cause my current trainer who is from india claim they are very good, and have a good reputation.

hbfnetworks seems to be the most econimical.

koeing dont offer ccie

Any other input at all will be most helpful.

Yeah, compufield seems to be good, my only other problem is I hope I will be able to understand them; even if I speak fluently english it might be a problem with the strong accent,.. but we will see, yes I thing I will take compufield

Cheers
